Projects
Soweto Garden Route
A recent development for bridging the gaps between farmers, food gardens, and sustainability projects, fostering an ecosystem where knowledge, seeds, and resources are exchanged. This network of thriving green spaces functions to restore soil health,
protecting biodiversity, and strengthening local economies.
Food Sovereignty
This green corridor is also a drive for the rehabilitation of the natural commons that have been assaulted by mining and pollution caused by infrastructure and environmental neglect over time, restoration of our dignity is linked to healing our relationship with our environment.
Climate Justice
The youth, women and working class of the townships bare the brunt of the polysystems collapse and ecocide perpetrated by industrial agriculture, therefore building connections amongst climate activists, home gardeners and community food growers is key to reinforcing resillience.
Seed and Knowledge Exchange
The Soweto Garden Route is a pathway to address the corporate control of seed by providing an alternative platform for exchanging inputs, one rooted not in profit but in eco-social sovereignty.
igadi App
An e-learning platform for agroecology and related green skills aimed at making education fun and accessible. We are in the content development and partnerships phase, the platform is fully developed and ready for deployment.
